David John Munrow was someone I had never met. Yet, I heard him on ocassion on the radio with his series on music called Pied Piper. He exploded into the world of early music and in 10 years he popularised it as never before.
He was my childhood hero so to speak, and made a great impact upon me. His enthusiasm for music was palpable as he spoke. His manic energy was tremendous, and caused people to wonder in awe. He was sui generis.
Apart from gaia, and elsewhere I have contributed info on the life of DJM essentially at the forum dedicated to him,and his work (utilizing the user name of piedpiper). It might be of some interest to others.
